On Rick Ross’ 2012 track “Stay Schemin,” Drake bragged about his freedom to do whatever he wants with the allowance Universal grants him on the line, “Tell Lucian I said fuck it, I’m tearin’ holes in my budget.” As it turns out, the label’s pocketbooks are always open for Drizzy.
Sir Lucian Grainge told, “If ever Drake or whenever Drake calls up and says he needs something for his project, I give it to him,” Grainge said with a smile. “Because he’s the greatest.” Drake’s record-breaking success has made it easy to get what he wants, plus more.

Currently, Drake is prepping another collaboration with Future as fans await their highly-anticipated project What A Time To Be Alive 2.
Recently, it was announced that Chinese tech behemoth Tencent Holdings would lead a consortium of investors to purchase a collective 10% stake in Universal Music. Universal Music is world’s dominant record label group and the parent company to Capitol Records, Blue Note and Republic, among many others.
