The Canadian urban movement festival of the year, desiFEST is back with its 12th edition in 2018. This time in association with Desi Hip Hop Inc creating a unique experience of Desi arts, music, food and fashion. The uprise of hip hop among Desis has been no less than a revolution taking over the streets. And this time Canada will witness Desi Hip Hop like never before with a Gully Gang & Khatarnaak takeover.
desiFEST is set to celebrate its 12th year of great music and talent. Bringing to you the largest South Asian Music Concert on Saturday June 2nd at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto from 11am to 11pm. This year’s amazing line up includes well known Desi music artists like Amar Sandhu & Pranna, Parichay, Roach Killa, Haji Springer, Byg Byrd & Sunny Malton and DJ Prodiigy among others.
Face the Music is a special event set to take place on May 31st where different panels will discuss many aspects of the music industry. Artists will get to learn things such as finding their niche in the music scene. How to identify their uniqueness and focus on what sets them apart. Furthermore, a third panel will be discussing the evolution of music in the past five years. desiFEST has provided artists a platform to showcase their talent for many years now. It has hosted over 150 artists, recording artists such as; Apache Indian, Taz & Stereo Nation, Mickey Singh, Navin Kundra, Zack Knight, Anita Lerche, Dehli 2 Dublin, Lady Kash, JoSH and many more. This year’s line-up continues to showcase a mix of new artists and veterans, who have had successes over the years locally and internationally in the music industry.
