Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee had a reason to celebrate when they learned their popular Hot 97 show The Breakfast Club had been named amongst the 2020 Radio Hall of Fame inductees.
All three media personalities expressed their gratitude on Instagram following the announcement with Charlamagne writing, “One day people will look back and give us respect for how we impacted the culture the past decade. I know it’s hard to show love when folks are still active, I get it, I get it. I’m sure when we get a documentary or something the flowers will come but In the meantime.”
Other nominees include Sway Calloway and his revered Shade 45 show Sway In The Morning, Donnie Simpson of WMMJ-FM “Majic 102.3” in Washington D.C. and Glenn Beck of The Glenn Beck Show.
Sway Calloway took to Instagram and wrote,“Thank you so much to all that voted. A LOT of folks answered the call. I can’t express enough how much I appreciate it.
