In fact, Delhi witnessed the launch party of “Reloaded” at Raasta, Green Park on August 30. DJ Karma was invited to spin for the night. After all, he is the most celebrated hip-hop DJ from Delhi. Slyck insisted Karma to introduce his MC Karma side to the crowd. As a result, DJ Karma spat a sick verse in Hindi, that too as an acapella.

Furthermore, Delhi’s most-wanted rapper Prabh Deep, opened up the set for the night. As soon as “G Maane” kicked-in, hands started bouncing on the groove of the drums. Since the hook of the track (G Maane) is easy to understand, the crowd was screaming it as per Prabh’s commands.

After Prabh’s set, 2-Shadez took over the stage. As a matter of fact, 2-Shadez reunited after 2.5 years and have been performing live since last month again. Zan & Slyck didn’t waste anytime and took the energy to a whole new level. Tracks like “Desi Angrezi” & “Kaun Hoon Main” had everyone bouncing their heads. Zan appreciated the energy that the crowd was showing and confessed that Slyck’s chopper-flow makes it hard for him to jam along with it.

The After Party

Since the headline act of the night was over, Khatarnaak Hip-Hop Collective took over the stage to celebrate the after party. Pankaj “Jinn” Rana started off by playing “Samachaar” and trust us, we haven’t seen any venue bounce like this before. People were nodding their heads and waving their hands before this track but as soon “Samachaar” kicked in, people started bouncing off their feet while dabbing with full energy. Everyone has seen the boom-bap production of Sun J but this trap beat is harder than concrete. Rest of the Khatarnaak crew played several different tracks before Slyck called it a night.

Many prominent names from Delhi hip-hop scene were at the launch party to push Sun J. Unfortunately, there were faces that couldn’t make it because of the heavy rain in Delhi. However, the vibes were still impressive as before and after the event, cyphers kept rolling. Beatboxers were doing their own thing, dancers were popping in the crowd. It would be an understatement to say that the launch party was sick!

Sun J released two back to back videos from “Reloaded” viz. “Be Aware” and “Breakboy”. From power pack Hindi multies to a beat that will make a bboy groove, “I Am Breakboy” has it all! Sun J has himself written, produced and composed the track. This is among the initial styles of Sun J’s rapping which has a very gritty street vibe to it. His recent drop “Be Aware” marks his growth from his previous works.

Be Aware (sun j)

Hip-Hop music has always been about displaying self-confidence. Letting the world know how you’re different in what you do. Sun J has done the same in “Be Aware” by simply explaining the difference between those who do it for the culture and those who do this just to seek fame and money. He left no stones unturned in speaking his mind out.
