Shaquille O’Neal Drops Kobe Bryant Tribute Freestyle

Numerous heartfelt memorials from Dr. Dre and celebrities in the sports and entertainment industries will continue following the tragic losses of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26. The late Los Angeles Lakers icon’s most famous teammate of his career, Shaquille O’Neal, paid tribute in his latest freestyle “Kobe Bryant Tribute”.

It surfaced on February 17, one day after the NBA All-Star Game that also had several tributes to Bryant. With his signature baritone flow, the Hall of Fame center rhymes over the instrumental from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s fan favorite “Bitches Ain’t Shit” from the producer’s 1992 multi-platinum classic LP The Chronic.

“Fourth quarter, down by two/I’ma miss every free throw, I’ma give that shit to you/They know one-two punch, with two stones they kill us/One Black Mamba and one black gorilla,” Shaq roars on the track.

“The Diesel” even concedes that in late game clutch situations, he trusted Kobe more than himself to win the game for the Lake Show. You can listen to the track above.
