Rihanna Joins the Billionaire’s Club, Becoming the Richest Female Musician

Rihanna is now the richest female musician on the planet, and most of her net worth does not come from chart-topping singles.

According to Forbes, RiRi joined the billionaire’s club and boasts a reported net worth of $1.7 billion. An estimated $1.4 billion comes from Rihanna’s lucrative Fenty Beauty line, of which Forbes confirmed she owns 50 percent of in a split deal with powerful fashion house LVMH.

Rihanna – real name Robyn Fenty – launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 with a dream to create a cosmetics company that made “women everywhere included”. She opened the brand in a 50-50 partnership with the French luxury conglomerate LVMH. Forbes magazine estimates that the company is now worth “a conservative $2.8bn”. Her stake in Fenty Beauty, combined with a 30% stake in the lingerie line Savage X Fenty and money generated during her 16-year career as a recording artist, take Rihanna’s fortune to $1.7bn, according to Forbes. That makes her the second wealthiest female entertainer on the planet after Oprah Winfrey, who is sitting on a fortune estimated at $2.7bn.
