Earlier this year, Aakash Ravikrishnan was working tirelessly on an album titled “Overseas”. He reached out to Mumbai OGs and up-and-comers to feature on different beats throughout the process of the album. The outcome was a first of its kind “Mumbai Rap” album. An “All-Star” lineup with each artist either exploring deep into his/her sound or conquering different zones of experimental sound.

On 26th October – after multiple press interviews and appearances, Aakash is now all set to bring the album to life with his much anticipated “Overseas Live” event! This is a historic event because of the sheer amount of Mumbai emcees involved and contributing to bring it to the stage!

Overseas Live

Above The Habitat in Khar West, Mumbai hosts the event on saturday night and Aakash is set to showcase the diversity  and unity of a large part of the Mumbai Rap community. Featuring 16 tracks and 25 west coast artists, the night is set to be one to experience.

If you’re only tuning in to Indian Hip-Hop, this night will set the tone for what you can expect from Bombay. This is also one for the purists and core Hip-Hop heads in Mumbai. Desi Hip-Hop is proud to be a part of this initiative and collaborate towards building this effort!
