Dee MC kicked off her weekly series ‘The Fifth Element’ coming to your quarantined screens every Tuesday at 10pm IST. In her own words she aims to bring hip-hop to the audience since there’s nothing happening in the outside world with hip-hop. Shows and other major events can be anticipated to be on a lockdown for several months due to the corona outbreak. However, the action doesn’t stop!
Till now guests like beatboxers like Dcypher and Beatslayer, emcees like MC Altaf, Tony Psyko, Poetik Justis, AGSY and Yoku have joined Dee on the live sessions. Last week’s guest emcee was none other than Kaam Bhaari from Bombay city. Kaam joined us on the live session to chat about 2020, his latest music video ‘Meter Down’ as well as his own singles.

Kaam Bhaari’s journey began by observing the scene around him, trying to reach out to the hip hop community. His unique vocal tone coupled with the street smart rhyme schemes helped him stand out from hundreds of emcees. Although Kaam had already put out music before the release of Gully Boy, the movie further cemented his position as a rising star to watch out for. His original soundtrack from the movie titled ‘Kaam Bhaari’ became a viral sensation.
As a matter of fact, Kaam is a part of Ranveer Singh’s label known as IncInk. Together with musicians Anushka and Shikhar Manchanda, the rapper has released multiple music videos this year. All the videos show different range from the rapper. Speaking about his latest singles ‘White Collar’ and ‘Vichaar’, Kaam Bhaari shared the creative process behind the making of the track and music videos. White Collar is a prime example of the will to speak up, beyond oneself. While ‘Vichaar’ speaks of the thousands of thoughts we have in our lifetime and how to better manage these thoughts as they shape who we become.
Furthermore, Kaam Bhaari’s latest collaboration with Dharavi’s prized crew 7BantaiZ is spreading like wildfire. ‘Meter Down’ is their latest video featuring rapper Kaam Bhaari in a very different avatar than his previous looks. While the song is a mass hit, the music video featuring rapper D’Evil has left everyone wanting for more! It could very easily be one of the best videos to come out of the scene. Watch the full episode to hear Kaam spit the Meter Down verse for you! Join us every Tuesday at 9 PM IST for a brand new episode of The Fifth Element.
