Meek Mill, comedian Kevin Hart and 76ers owner Michael Rubin have put their resources together and donated $15 million to 110 Philadelphia schools serving low-income students. According to a press release, the donation will assist thousands of students from underserved families for the 2022-2023 academic year, and will be spread out among private and parochial schools throughout the area for underprivileged kids to attend these schools.
The donation marks Meek Mill and Rubin’s ongoing commitment to serve their community. In 2020, they created a $2 million scholarship fund to support underprivileged students from pre-K through high school in Philadelphia, providing youth with critical resources during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

For the 2021 Christmas holiday, Rubin and Mill partnered with REFORM Alliance to host a special VIP experience for more than 25 children who’ve been negatively impacted by the criminal justice system and unjust probations. With the help of Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Rubin and Roc Nation, Meek donated $500,000 worth of toys to Philly families in need. They also gifted bikes, video game gift cards, laptops, tablets, dolls and more to dozens of families at a holiday event and donated another $30,000 to the local chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas, a volunteer organization supplying families during the holiday season.
