London to Bombay, MCSolomon & Shaikhspeare drop “Shankara”

From the streets of Brixton, London MC Solomon links back with Shaikhspeare from Mumbai for “Shankara” Music Video. The sampled-trap track serves as the second release from their upcoming collaboration EP “Bombay To London”.

The track follows the sonics of their last track “Bombay To London” with classical Indian elements mashed with trap drums. The song also samples a female vocal chanting “Har-Har Shankara, Jai-Jai Shankara” as the hook. Like the title track, this track is also produced by Asia Minor, a UK producer rising in the scene. The track was recorded at Analogue Sounds Ltd.

“One life and one chance fuck it just blast on em, Spitting knowledge and truth the youth can dance to it, Mary and Joseph can have a laugh to it, Maybe a couple of monks can smoke cigars to it”, MC Solomon spits in his verse.

“Sangeet par ye kalam kare Tandav, Put in work like Kshudra, act like a Brahmin, Give u that punch, I mean panch like Pandav, Slept on like Kumbhkaran, wake up, I’m daanav!” Shaikhspeare kicks off with bars.

This UK x India collaboration marks the second single from MC Solomon’s upcoming EP “Bombay To London” featuring Mumbai’s Shaikhspeare repping Bombay Lokal. The first single has already grabbed international attention and has been playlisted by Bobby Friction on BBC & DesiHipHop showcase on Bolly 92.3FM.

The Bombay To London EP is releasing on 1st Feb, 2020 and you can pre-order it here!
