While there are only a handful of female emcees that are currently active in the Desi Hip-Hop scene today, make no mistake that they are a force to be reckoned with on the mic. Enter Kauratan – a new age rapper who has already started to build her catalogue appearing on tracks with rap stars like Sikander Kahlon. Her ability to rock the mic screams of her potential in terms of how polished an artist she can be. And her latest track just takes things on a whole new level.

Punjabi Rap Bars For Days

There are so many different styles of rap prevalent in our country that we are still exploring each gap and each new sound coming out of the scene. Kauratan is also on a mission to set herself apart from a lot of emcees and femcees and be more involved in the art form as we can easily interpret through her latest music video – “Kaurageous”!

To start, the flow in this song is on point. It hits the listener from the opening tip and just keeps rolling as we keep listening to the song further. What is also noticeable are the hard hitting punjabi bars that she spits over the beat. The beat seems to have been produced keeping in mind the “Desi” element of the music. Mr. Nakulogic has produced the beat that really fits well with the flow and delivery of Kauratan.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that this could be called her best track to date. She also really represents herself and her surroundings well with her gritty, raw punjabi raps. And if this is just the beginning, then we’re upping more music from her!
