Kanye West has dropped music video for the first Dr. Dre-mixed single “Wash Us In The Blood,” from his forthcoming album God’s Country. Featuring Travis Scott, “Wash Us In The Blood” is directed by famed cinematographer Arthur Jafa and begins with an intense stand-off between police and protestors.

On June 29, Kanye shared a snippet of the song. “KANYE WEST,” he wrote in all caps. “ARTHUR JAFA. PROJECT 02. WASH US IN THE BLOOD. FROM THE FORTHCOMING ALBUM GOD’S COUNTRY. TODAY STILL #WESTDAYEVER.”
The video also features various scenes of people hyperventilating with masks on, fighting in the street and Ye’s infamous floating stage from his 2016 Saint Pablo Tour are played out before a clip of Ahmaud Arbery jogging is thrown in the mix. The video is sewn together piece by piece, providing a patchwork-type feel to the entire thing. As “Wash Us In The Blood” comes to a close, Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter North West is shown dancing at a Sunday Service rehearsal before its abrupt end.
