Jay-Z & Roc Nation Launches New Multimedia Brand, EDITION


Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter-founded entertainment company Roc Nation is launching a new brand and multimedia platform. Titled, EDITION by Modern Luxury, the new venture is being created in partnership with Modern Luxury Media and aims to “amplify and elevate voices that are shaping popular culture”.

“We couldn’t think of a better partner to launch edition and provide a platform to amplify the voices of a powerful community,” said Desiree Perez, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Roc Nation.

EDITION will be produced by Modern Luxury Media, which reaches an audience of more than 16 million people. The platform and brand will feature print and digital journalism, social and experiential activations, and insider content around audio and video storytelling that users can unlock. Roc Nation’s expansion into the media follows the company’s recent VR move, having purchased an undisclosed number of SENSO tokens (Ethereum-based currency of Sensorium Galaxy). Sensorium Galaxy is claimed to be “the world’s most advanced social VR platform” and its users will be required to use SENSO to access VR shows.
