Corona pandemic has left the whole world in a lockdown where people have been asked to quarantine for weeks. It is only natural to feel cooped up and anxious in such a situation. At such a time its impossible for our graffiti artists to step out into the public zones to do their thing. Considered as trespassers or even vandals by some authorities, right now is not the time for graffiti writers to test the government’s patience!

But with problems comes the desire to find creative solutions. And that’s exactly what these artists have turned to. No wall to paint? No problem! They have taken to their iPads/tablets to let out their creativity. Here’s a list of few such graffiti artists who are here to make your quarantine colourful! Also, this will surely soothe your anxiety.

ZAKE

Bombay based graffiti writer Zake has been pioneering the street spray paint movement since nearly a decade now. If you’re from the bay you must have most definitely come across some of his brilliant works. Having represented India internationally, he has a distinctive graffiti style which is really unique. Watching Zake’s graffiti illustrations has a calming sense to it!

MORON

Melroy aka The Moron has been having a rather productive quarantine with illustrations being uploaded almost every other day. The detail to precision is spotless and leaves you wanting for more. One of our favourites is his recent 4/20 appreciation post of a quarantined stoner. Check his brilliant work out below!

NME

One of my personal favourite artists to work with has been NME hailing from Navi Mumbai. Recently the artist released a video using Poetik Justis’ new track ‘BREATHE’. For graffiti artists who are always on the hunt for new places to colour bomb, this lockdown must be more testing than others. Which is why NME could not control his urge to step out (not too far though) and paint the nearest wall he could find from his house. The artist is expanding his horizon trying his hand at portrait illustrations and below is one of his recent works.
