India’s biggest Hip-Hop label Mass Appeal India has signed superstar rapper-songwriter, IKKA, joining heavyweights like DIVINE and Rajakumari under the same label. Getting his start with Yo Yo Honey Singh and Raftaar, IKKA came a long way since then and has more than 1 billion streams to his name.
Talking about the signing, IKKA told MusicBusinessWorldwide, “I’m so excited to join Nas and The Mass Appeal Family. It’s an honour to be part of such a thriving ecosystem and I am looking forward to collaborating with Mass Appeal India to deliver some path-breaking hip hop hits for global audiences”.
IKKA’s highly-anticipated debut album “I” is set to be released via. Mass Appeal India soon. The album’s first single, Level Up, will be released on October 26 2020 and features his label mate star rapper, DIVINE.
Claimed as “an innovative new label dedicated to amplifying India’s burgeoning hip-hop culture on a global scale” Mass Appeal India was launched in August 2019. As a partnership between Nas’ Mass Appeal and Universal Music India, a division of Universal Music Group.
