Future is giving back to 2020 high school graduates impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in his home state of Georgia. The Freebandz boss has announced he’ll be awarding scholarships to incoming college freshmen through his FreeWishes Foundation’s “Still A Dreamer” campaign.
Future said in a press statement, “You don’t have to be in the perfect situation or come from the perfect background to reach for your dreams. Despite this COVID-19 pandemic, I encourage all dreamers to continue to dream big”. Future’s mother and FreeWishes co-founder Stephanie Jester also added. “We acknowledge that many families have been financially impacted by COVID-19. As we fast forward into this new climate we would like to continue to make dreams come alive and wishes come true.”
To apply for the scholarship, students must be 2020 high school graduates and residents of Georgia. They’re also required to have a 3.0 GPA or above. Also, be enrolled in a college or university for the upcoming fall semester and have proof of involvement in community service. The maximum scholarship award is $2,500.
