‘The Fifth Element’ is coming to your quarantined screens every Tuesday night at 9pm IST. Dee MC runs through her hot 5 picks of the week as well as invites guest emcees to chat and spit some bars live for the audience. In the latest episode of the series, Dee invited one of the pioneer emcees from the worldwide hip hop scene. Pavan aka Pav4n from Foreign Beggars has travelled the globe performing music with his two man crew. Having built a body of work that includes collaborations with the finest of the music industry, hits in the UK Top 10 and appearances at every major festival around the world, PAV4N’s credentials as a rapper are well established.

PAV4N who now appears in his new inspired avatar wowed the audience not only with his appearance but also his insightful talks. The loss of his fellow crew mate Metropolis, the sudden shift in his geographical surroundings has led to an emotional as well as spiritual transformation for the rapper. After exploring different sounds throughout his 17 years of career, PAV4N now has taken a fully unconventional route with the way he portrays himself in his videos.

“The colour blue is associated with ‘all-inclusiveness’, the vastness of the sky, ocean, power, time and space and is in my eyes symbolic of our oneness with the universe,” says PAV4N about what inspired him to change his appearance altogether. He further added, “As PAV4N, the fact that I can really explore my history and heritage through artistic expression – beyond just the music – has given so much more dimension to how I can express my message and opened so many new doors to collaboration, whether through visuals, fashion, and art.“
