Drake Booed Off At Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival Stage

,

Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival went down at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles over the weekend. During the set (November 10), fans were expecting to see Frank Ocean close out the show but instead, they got a surprise guest — Drake.

Evidently, the crowd wasn’t pleased with the last-minute switch up and made it painfully clear for Drizzy they wanted Ocean with a “We want Frank” chant. Drake even offered to stay a little longer, but the audience wasn’t having it.

As noted by TMZ, Drake appeared to receive the message. After thanking the Camp Flog Gnaw attendees, he seemed to end his set early before quickly exiting the stage. “Like I said, I’m here for you tonight,” he said after performing “Wu-Tang Forever.” “If you want to keep going, I will keep going.” He added, “It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake. Thank you all for having me.”

Drake apparently wasn’t too bothered by the boos coming from the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival crowd over the weekend. According to a recent Instagram post, the multi platinum-selling artist joked he had just signed a new contract with the Camp Flog Gnaw.

“Plot twist…just signed a 10 year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw,” he captioned the photo. “sorry kids see you EVERY SINGLE YEAR till you are 30.”

Subsequently, Tyler berated those who booed Drake via Twitter.

“I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE FUCKING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW. SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE ASSHOLES WHEN IT DIDNT COME TRUE AND I DONT FUCK WITH THAT.”
