In 2019, the global scope of Desi Hip-Hop in particular is vast, varied and spread across a wide range of areas around the world. There are a few events that really work towards uplifting these cultures and voices. DesiFest celebrates Hip-Hop and Desi Music in the most unique way without compromising on the essence and quality of these cultures.

Toronto is home to a whole array of Desi musicians. Desi Fest has pushed itself further over the years to open its doors to global talent outside of their hometown. And in 2019, DesiFest was a super success. Its biggest one yet, the festival was home to artists, performers,  and audiences from different walks of life and different countries around the world. Headlined by Jaz Dhami and Raja Kumari this year, the festival invited stellar emcees like Dee MC straight outta Mumbai, and NAVZ47 to perform!

DesiFest is a celebration of the hard work that Desi artists put in year in year out to grow the culture regardless of where they may be in the world. The festival now in its 13th edition has matured to become a showcase of exemplary talent and has become an ideal destination for audiences who want to explore and educate themselves about Desi Hip Hop.

A plethora of artists, a grand stage, a free festival, a unique experience – Desifest 2019 was a power packed event with nothing but the best artists delivering their message to an open crowd. These are the events that need to keep happening the world over as they also contribute to the artists by being a platform that they can trust.
