Crazy Vi-Desi Collaborations – Snoop Dogg, Akshay Kumar And Lot More!

,

The culture of Desi Hip-Hop has sparked many epic collaborations over time. In this article, we’ll look at 4 crazy collaborations that Desi Hip-Hop artists did with artists abroad and completely killed it. These 4 tracks are my personal favourites. Share with us your favourite Vi-Desi collaborations on our Facebook post.

1) RDB Ft Snoop Dogg & Akshay Kumar – Singh Is King

The west coast legend Snoop Dogg did this feature for Akshay Kumar’s 2008 super hit ‘Singh Is King’. Along with one of the catchiest hook-line, this track also had additional vocals for a verse provided by Akshay Kumar. Vibe to the ’08 hit below.

2) Lazarus Ft KXNG Crooked – Fearless

This collaboration was a dream come true for all the underground Hip-Hop heads. Lazarus is undoubtedly one of the best lyricist the Desi scene has ever seen and this pair up was explosive for all those who love real lyricism laid on a hard beat.

3) Speedy Singhs Ft Akshay Kumar, RDB and Ludacris – Shera Di Kaum

This project saw a crazy verse from Ludacris and another classic hook from RDB. From the Canadian sports movie Breakaway, this track definitely earned a rep for Desi Hip-Hop abroad. The video itself is a treat as it features Canada’s own Drake in a cameo and more including Russell Peters, Anupam Kher, and Rob Lowe.

4) Jay Sean Ft Lil Wayne – Down

A Lil-Wayne feature on the smooth vocals of Jay Sean is what the world needs again. One of the biggest projects by Birdman’s ‘Cash Money’ label, Down was released as a debut single for Jay Sean from his first album ‘All Or Nothing’. Fun fact – the track received an airplay of two billion listeners worldwide.
