Stretching across 21 tracks, it’s one big album. He’s also brought some big names along for the ride, including Post Malone, Dave Chappelle, Jhene Aiko, Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne and many more. Detroit 2 also features the previously-released “Deep Reverence” feat. late Nipsey Hussle.

Big Sean opened up about his long-rumored beef with Kendrick Lamar. “After what happened to Nipsey, I reached out to Kendrick. It wasn’t even no real issues there to begin with/Lack of communication and wrong information from people fueled by their ego. It’s like mixing flames with diesel/Energy crazy, I realize that it’s a two-way street. What’s coming is going, if it don’t give you more, it drains you,” he raps on the song’s second verse.

The Detroit native has also enlisted the help of multiple rappers from his hometown. Eminem and his Bad Meets Evil partner Royce Da 5’9, Tee Grizzley, 42 Dugg, Kash Doll, Cash Kidd, Payroll Giovanni, Boldy James, Sada Baby and Drego will join Sean on a posse cut highlighting talent from the Motor City.
