Linkin Park’s lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide by hanging himself. We sincerely hoped that this news was not true but as TMZ suggested, it is. Chester Bennington was majorly responsible for shaping the way 2000’s alternative rock music sounded. Unfortunately, the Linkin Park-frontman is no more. It is impossible for us to recall the number of times we’ve seen videos of Linkin Park performing live and the crowd chanting their lyrics.
It has been reported that Chester Bennington committed suicide by hanging himself. The rock icon has left behind his wife, Talinda Ann Bentley, and six children – Jamie, Isaiah, Draven, Tyler, Lila and Lily. Chester was just 41.
Chester’s lyrics always depicted personal trials and tribulations. Even in the hit records such as “Numb” and “Breaking the Habit”, he was always trying to vent out angst. We guess that is the reason why so many people connected with it.
In the last track “Heavy”, he demanded help. “I don’t like my mind right now // Stacking up problems that are so unnecessary // Wish that I could slow things down”.
Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park Member) took it to Twitter and confirmed the tragic demise of Chester.
Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.

We’re not the only ones who’re shocked by the news. DesiHipHop.com would just like to thank Chester Bennington and Linkin Park for all the music they made. LP’s music has helped so many people in coping up with difficult times. His music will forever be alive and will continue to keep resonating his presence. RIP Chester.
