About an year ago, when Jalali Set dropped their first track as a crew, it went viral.
It was one of those videos that made their audience feel how real the artists are. They shot that video – Sura Target – in the streets of Dhaka, and spit rhymes in their local dialects. Viewers connected with them almost instantly. An year later, now, Jalali Set is ramping up to release their debut album titled Level 13.
Even though this will be their debut album, the artists involved in the crew are no amateurs or newbies. They have been grinding it out with the Bangladesh Hip Hop scene since day 1. The rappers involved are MC Mugz, Shafayat, Double S, and Shadhu. If anyone knows anything about ‘Bangladesh Hip Hop’, they know MC Mugz, and his right hand man Double S. Mugz was part of one of the first Hip Hop crews to rise up from the streets of Dhaka – Deshi MCs – since then, he’s done lots of work with numerous other artists and rappers. MC Mugz was part of the infamous Deshi MCs crew who released the first Hip Hop album from Bangladesh back in 2006. Since then, all the artists involved went onto make impact in various ways over the years.
MC Mugz has always been a lyrical genius, and when he gathered with the rest of his team at Jalali Set, Hip Hop fans in Bangladesh knew it was going to be straight up fire!
As fans await to listen to the debut album of Jalali Set, Hip Hop heads around the country are aching to hear the rappers go hard on Desi beats in their classic style of delivery.
