Rewind to the year 2006 – Indian hiphop lovers were still hungover with 50 Cent’s ‘Massacre’ album, and most ‘pseudo hiphop lovers’ were lip-syncing to Eminem’s tracks. Then out of nowhere, a Desi rapper named Bohemia released an album called ‘Pesa Nasha Pyar’ and the genre that we call ‘Punjabi Rap’ was born.

There’s no doubt about the fact that Bohemia is the ‘father of Punjabi rap’. He not only created the genre independently but also popularised it around the globe. Bohemia till date is the only desi rapper to collab up with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Sin (Favorite) and west coast heavyweight Glasses Malone (My Ride). Though these songs never made a bang commercially but are surely a hip-hop fan’s delight.
And his fans were always waiting for his upcoming album.
